Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor came out in 2014 for Windows as an open-world action adventure game while the Linux port debuted in the summer of 2015. Shadow of Mordor is another game port by Feral Interactive. This game makes use of the LithTech engine.

As tends to be the case with Aspyr/Feral game ports, the performance of the Linux version of the game is much lower on Linux than Windows. The GeForce GTX 1060 was at 72% the speed of Windows when running on Ubuntu while the GTX 1080 was also around 70%.

When increasing the quality settings to ultra, the performance remained much lower on Ubuntu Linux: 75% on the GTX 1060 and 73% on the GTX 1080.
