Stay tuned for more Linux vs. OS X benchmarks shortly. Overall, Linux swept the board in the initial tests for outperforming OS X -- even when testing Fedora with the LLVM Clang compiler. You can explore more data from this Core i5 Iris system on the three operating systems via this OpenBenchmarking.org result file. You can run your own cross-OS benchmarks using the open-source Phoronix Test Suite automated test platform.
