Examination:

The Cryo S is not nearly as large as the Cryo LX, but it does look like a miniaturized version. The Cryo S remains black and has the rubberized plastic along the sides to prevent the notebook from sliding around and the overall design is the same. The build quality is also the same: it is built very well. With it being smaller, the Cryo S does not have a bottom portion of the aluminum cooler that flips out to extend the size of the cooler. As we mentioned in the introduction, the NZXT Cryo S is sized for netbooks and notebooks up to 15" in size.

Slits within the 3mm thick aluminum and in the rubberized plastic allow plenty of air to access the bottom-side of the notebook/netbook that is pushed by the dual 120mm fans. The raised surface of the Cryo S eliminates any heat pockets while allowing for a slight angle for comfortable typing. On the back side of the Cryo S is the +5V DC power connector, two-port USB 2.0 hub, and a dial for controlling the fan speed of the dual 120mm fans.

On the bottom side of the notebook cooler, the dual 120mm fans are visible. There is also rubber along the edges to prevent the cooler from sliding around on a desk.
