Benchmarking all of the graphics cards were done with the Phoronix Test Suite for full automation and independent reproducibility of the results. When the Phoronix Test Suite was running, the MONITOR=sys.power,gpu.temp environment variable was set for monitoring the AC system power consumption and the GPU temperature. The PERFORMANCE_PER_WATT=1 environment variable also produced the performance-per-Watt graphs automatically. The power consumption was measured using a WattsUp USB power meter.

With all of that said, let's see how NVIDIA's performance and power efficiency has evolved in the mid-range space from the brand new GeForce GTX 750 Ti GM107 Maxwell all the way back one decade ago with the NV43-based GeForce 6600GT.
