When testing VDrift on the open-source drivers (it wasn't tested with the binary AMD or NVIDIA drivers due to rendering differences), we easily see that the GeForce 9600GSO is in line with the GeForce GT 220 and GeForce 8500GT. The

Nexuiz was broken with the Nouveau Gallium3D driver on the snapshot tested, so this comparison is limited to the binary blobs. With Nexuiz at 1920 x 1080, the GeForce 9600GSO barely breaks the 30 FPS threshold, but comes in front of the 9500GT and GT 220. The Radeon HD 4550 performance on Catalyst is roughly on par with the GeForce 9600GSO using the official NVIDIA Linux driver.
