First up was BioShock Infinite where the results were brutal on Nouveau. The GTX 780 Ti with this re-clocked/boosted Nouveau configuration couldn't even compete with the Radeon R7 370 and the Radeon R9 Fury was more than twice as fast as any of the tested Kepler GPUs... However, as you'll see from the results ahead, BioShock Infinite is more of an isolated incident for this reverse-engineered NVIDIA Linux driver.

There appears to be a regression in RadeonSI Gallium3D or in DiRT Showdown itself that the game was crashing when running any of the Radeon tests where as using the same Mesa revision with NVC0 Gallium3D had worked fine on the NVIDIA hardware.

With the very basic OpenArena game, the GeForce cards on Nouveau were much more competitive. Here the GTX 780 Ti was performing between the R9 290 and R9 Fury on this pure open-source driver comparison.

With the Tesseract open-source first person shooter, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti was nearly running at the same speed as the Radeon R9 Fury for this comparison on Mesa 11.3-devel.
