Well, those are the latest numbers for Nouveau with the in-development Linux 4.10 kernel and using Mesa 13.1-dev. The NvBoost support that's mainline with Linux 4.10 was of big help to the higher-end Kepler cards for squeezing out more performance. Again, it's not enabled by default but you need to boot the system with nouveau.config=NvBoost=2. Likewise, the re-clocking code in Nouveau isn't yet dynamic but you must manually re-clock your supported hardware for better performance. For now the GTX 600/700 Kepler cards remain your best option if wanting to use the open-source Nouveau driver and they remain the last generation as binary-firmware-free if not wanting any blobs from AMD or NVIDIA on your system.
