Legacy Radeon Performance On Mesa 9.1 Gallium3D
While the R300g driver is no longer an active focus by Mesa developers, it's nice to see that both releases of OpenArena see performance improvements out of Mesa 9.1.
With this increase in the R300g performance by 32% on Mesa 9.1 is the open-source driver now faster than the old Catalyst driver? Benchmarks coming in a later Phoronix article will answer that question.
