The Intel i915 Gallium3D driver may be interesting from a technical perspective, but when it comes to the OpenGL frame-rate performance, this unofficial Gallium3D driver is still losing -- at least for the i945 graphics adapter on the popular N270-based netbooks when paired with Mesa 8.1-devel.
