With the generally CPU bound BioShock Infinite game, the Mesa 18.0 release barely had any real impact compared to Mesa 17.3. But if you still are on the 17.2 branch, there is more gains to be found by upgrading.

With Deus Ex: Mankind Divided there was also no noticeable difference in the performance for this demanding OpenGL Linux game.

Dota 2 with OpenGL is slightly faster on Mesa 18.0...

But when using the Vulkan renderer in Dota 2 with RADV is where Mesa 18.0 shines. Mesa 18.0 is running much faster with RADV than 17.3, but still not quite to the performance levels of Dota 2 with the mature OpenGL renderer and RadeonSI driver. Nevertheless, it's great to see all the progress being made on this open-source Radeon Vulkan Linux driver.
