FS-Mark using 1000 files of 1MB size did not experience any other measurable changes either.

When running FS-Mark without enforcing sync/fsync, the EXT4 and Btrfs file-systems were unchanged by the Linux 2.6.39 kernel. With the XFS file-system, however, the performance nearly doubled on Linux 2.6.39.

Under the Threaded I/O Tester of eight threads of 128MB random writes there was little change for any of the three tested file-systems and the three kernels.
