The EPYC CPUs were easily leading in the multi-core benchmarks thanks to the greater number of cores while all of the Xeon CPUs tested in this sub-$5000 spectrum were 16 cores / 32 threads.

Given Ubuntu 20.04 LTS not being released yet, these benchmarks are mostly being put out for reference purposes while more tests will come in April.

Even on a performance-per-Watt basis, the EPYC Rome CPUs were ahead of Xeon Cascade Lake.
