Fedora vs. openSUSE vs. Manjaro vs. Debian vs. Ubuntu vs. Mint Linux Benchmarks

First up are some disk tests.

With SQLite, Fedora, Linux Mint, Debian, and Ubuntu performed close to the same while openSUSE and Manjaro were the outliers. OpenSUSE uses XFS for its home directory by default and Btrfs for the root file-system. Manjaro was using EXT4 like the other Linux distributions benchmarked. One difference potentially explaining Manjaro's slower SQLite result was the use of the BFQ scheduler while the others were using deadline or CFQ. OpenSUSE was trailing the other distributions for the PostMark mail server disk benchmark.

With the PostgreSQL database benchmarks, openSUSE was much slower than the others.
