What is interesting from this video driver graph is perhaps the number of being using the open-source ATI/AMD driver (xf86-video-ati and the defunct xf86-video-radeonhd) versus the proprietary Catalyst driver.

The vast majority of users simply rely upon their distribution vendor or a package management repository for installing and updating their graphics card drivers under Linux whether they be open or closed-source.

X.Org Server 1.7 is most popular with Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS and other distributions relying upon it, but the new X.Org Server 1.9 release is already seeing some good adoption among Phoronix readers.
