With OpenArena as a basic OpenGL test in going back to testing Intel HD Graphics as far back as IvyBridge, the raw results were interesting.... Fedora Workstation 28 with its default GNOME Wayland session led to the slowest performance.

The battery power use was similar between the Linux distributions except for on the ASUS UX32VDA laptop where its power use was much higher with Ubuntu 18.04.

When it came to code compilation speed on these laptops, Antergos 18.7 was the fastest.

Ubuntu 18.04's power use continued running on the hungry side while the other Linux distribution results were largely comparable.
