NVIDIA Jetson TX2 Linux Benchmarks

The bus speed download and readback performance with the CUDA build of SHOC shows a 60% improvement over the Jetson TX1.

The maximum single-precision FLOPS measured by the CUDA version of SHOC showed a drop when in Max-Q mode, but in the performant Max-P mode, there were 16% more FLOPS over the Maxwell Tegra X1.

The texture read bandwidth was much better with the Jetson TX2 thanks to the 128-bit LPDDR4 memory compared to 64-bit with the TX1.

Here's a look at the Max-P vs. Max-Q power reporting difference for these CUDA tests executed.

The Tegra X2 SoC temperature never hit 40°C during the CUDA benchmarking process. The Jetson TX2 in both its Max-Q and Max-P modes was significantly cooler than the Jetson TX1.
