Ending off with Xonotic, the i965 classic Mesa driver continues to run much faster than the i965 Gallium3D driver. While it's nice to see a modern Intel Gallium3D driver and it's fun to test, for those concerned about performance, the classic Mesa DRI driver continues to do much better. It's unlikely Intel will migrate to a Gallium3D driver anytime in the near future and there's been little interest in general by their developers as they aren't interested in throwing away their extensive work on their i965 Mesa driver that has come over the years by numerous paid developers.
