When running OpenArena, the frame-rates were near even at 640 x 480 between the classic and Gallium3D drivers for the original Intel Atom netbook. When running at 800 x 600 and then the native 1024 x 600 resolution, the Gallium3D driver was a frame ahead of the classic driver. It is not much of a big improvement, but at least the unofficial Gallium3D driver is not lagging behind.

World of Padman, which like OpenArena uses the ioquake3 engine, is noticeably faster with the official "classic" DRI driver.
