Intel Xe Graphics' Incredible Performance Uplift From OpenCL To oneAPI Level Zero To Vulkan

The ViennaCL linear algebra library saw a 50% boost going from Ice Lake to Tiger Lake or nearly 3x the speed of the Gen9 graphics.

On a performance-per-Watt basis the Tiger Lake performance for ViennaCL was slightly ahead of Ice Lake but well ahead of the Gen9 results on Whiskey Lake.

Leela Chess Zero is a chess engine automated via neural networks. The OpenCL acceleration with Leela Chess Zero more than doubled going from Ice Lake to Tiger Lake. The performance-per-Watt was also much improved compared to prior generations of Intel graphics.
