This next set of results is looking at the microcode impact and assembler update on Cascade Lake in the form of the dual Xeon Platinum 8280 processors while running Clear Linux. The benchmarks ran here are more server focused given the 2S Xeon server being tested.

The impact in some of the common server benchmarks is slight still but quite widespread given the nature of the JCC erratum.

The GraphicsMagick performance saw a surprisingly large impact to the performance with some sub-tests seeing about 18% lower performance but was fortunately recovered when having the patched assembler.

There are some cases though of the patched assembler actually yielding a regression but Intel appears to be investigating those numbers.
