The Gaming Performance Impact From The Intel JCC Erratum Microcode Update

In a majority of the games tested, the frame-rate impact fit within the "0~4%" stated by Intel's jump conditional code erratum notice.

Where the JCC microcode update impact increased beyond that 0~4% threshold were in CPU bound games like ET: Legacy that is the open-source continuance of the Enemy Territory game. In this particularly CPU bound task when running with a Core i9 7960X and NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER, the frame-rate dropped by 8%.

But at least for most modern (demanding) games the frame-rate impact is small though there are some other differences like the peak frame rate in F1 2017 pulling back from 180 to 170 FPS.
