For most of the games tested, the Core i9 9900KS performance on Linux was just ~1% faster than the Core i9 9900K. But these Intel Coffee Lake CPUs did tend to deliver better performance than the Ryzen 9 3900X on Ubuntu 19.10 with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER setup.

The Core i9 9900KS came out to being about 4% faster overall from the variety of native OpenGL/Linux games tested as well as some Valve Steam Play titles.

Even with the Core i9 9900KS having a 127 Watt TDP, the overall AC system power consumption with the i9-9900KS was still better off than the particular Ryzen 9 3900X comparison system.
