Lastly are some synthetic OpenGL benchmark results via GpuTest for this Lenovo ThinkPad with Broadwell HD Graphics.

Clear across the board, the Intel Broadwell HD Graphics 5500 were noticeably faster with Mesa 11.3-dev than using Mesa 11.2 as shipped by Ubuntu 16.04. If you want to give it a go, it's easy to try out the new stack with the Oibaf PPA where you'll also have OpenGL 4.2 rather than OpenGL 3.3 with Broadwell and newer.

Tests are still running on Haswell and Skylake at looking for OpenGL performance improvements. I'll also be doing some OGL4 tests on Broadwell and Skylake. If you like all these Linux hardware tests, be sure to join the premium club.
