With random reads and writes, the Intel 600P SSD isn't as fast as the Samsung NVMe SSD, but that wasn't to be expected. The performance is certainly a nice improvement over the SATA 3.0 SSDs for reference while not costing too much more than 256GB SATA 3.0 SSDs.

FIO with the sequential write test also showed this Intel 600P 256GB SSD performing nicely compared to the SATA 3.0 SSDs used for this comparison on Ubuntu Linux.

The Samsung 950 PRO M.2 SSD had issues with the SQLite database test, but the Intel 600P SSD did show off here with a first-place finish given the circumstances.
