The NVIDIA GTX 900 Series Performance On The Open-Source Nouveau Driver

Hopefully you weren't expecting competitive performance out of the GTX 900 series on Nouveau... Even when using the re-clocked Kepler support on Nouveau, the GTX 700 series aren't quite outperforming the proprietary driver.

It will likely be quite some time before the open-source 3D performance for the GeForce GTX 900 series is in good shape due to the new re-clocking headaches posed by the locked-down Maxwell chips.

Hopefully we'll see the scheduler work done for better Maxwell support in the near future.
