Gentoo Linux vs. Linaro ARM Benchmarks

Gentoo is significantly faster with the multi-threaded C-Ray ray-tracing program over Linaro. GCC 4.7 tends to do much better than GCC 4.6 for this benchmark on both x86 and ARM.

The Smallpt path-tracing results were close to the same.

Gentoo did well on the ODROID-X quad-core ARM development platform for APE and FLAC audio encoding.

There wasn't any speed difference between the two Linux platforms for MP3 encoding with LAME.
