Radeon RADV vs. NVIDIA Vulkan Performance For F1 2017 On Linux

Onto the 4K testing, first were the ultra low tests. The RX 580 on RADV was right in front of the GeForce GTX 1060, which is good to see, but the RX Vega performance was still lower than the GeForce GTX 1070. Also keep in mind of the minor corruption issues encountered with Vega on Mesa 17.4-dev RADV.

With high image quality settings at 4K, the RX Vega 64 now at least is running a few frames ahead of the GeForce GTX 1070 while the RX 580 remains just in front of the GeForce GTX 1060.

The Radeon RX 580 results for F1 2017 with RADV are quite promising, at least in the more demanding scenarios, where it's competing as it should with the GeForce GTX 1060. But with the latest-generation Radeon RX Vega graphics cards, its performance is still coming up short and not to mention the minor corruption issues encountered during testing. With the current open-source driver, the RX Vega 56/64 performance also remains rather small over the older Radeon R9 Fury. In the 1080p testing with lower image quality visuals, the NVIDIA Linux performance was noticeably better than RADV.
