The Azure HBv3 performance was also yielding great metrics even with Intel's Scalable Video Technology (SVT) open-source video encoder workloads. In some of the SVT benchmarks the Azure HC performance is quite good thanks to being tuned for Intel's hardware but now with EPYC 7V13 it was delivering leading performance across the board.

With an Azure HBv3 virtual machine with 120 vCPUs you can build the Linux 5.10 LTS kernel in about 42 seconds or compile Node.js in less than two minutes, if considering the Azure HBv3 VMs for a virtual build farm.

GROMACS enjoyed a ~7% speed-up going from the HBv2 to HBv3 virtual machine.
