Clear Linux was also leading in the web browser benchmarks when testing the packaged versions of the Firefox releases at the time under each distribution.

In total I ran 103 benchmarks across the six tested Linux distributions on this AMD Ryzen 9 5900X desktop. Coming in first place more than half the time was Intel's Clear Linux followed by EndeavorOUS in second place with first place finishes 15% of the time.

Coming in last place most often for the out-of-the-box Linux performance on this Ryzen desktop was Fedora Workstation 33 followed by SalientOS.

If taking the geometric mean of all 103 results successfully run on the set of Linux distributions, overall the difference isn't too great -- except for Clear Linux. Clear Linux came out to being about 10% faster on average than the other out-of-the-box Linux distributions benchmarked. See all of the data in full over on OpenBenchmarking.org.
