Right out of the gate with the first benchmarks being fired up, the code-bases built under Clang 12.0 on the Xeon Platinum 8380 2P server were delivering faster performance over GCC 11.

In some cases GCC 11 still obviously pulled ahead of Clang 12 but these days the LLVM compiler certainly gives the GNU Compiler Collection some fierce competition on x86_64.
