Only a smaller performance gain was spotted when comparing the LZMA performance across these vastly different Intel netbooks.

The Eee PC 1201N with its 5400 RPM SATA 2.0 hard drive in comparison to the after-market OCZ Core Series V2 SSD that was found in the Samsung NC10 had led to the results being in favor of the Samsung netbook, but when using 64-bit Linux with the HDD-driven Eee PC it managed to outperform the 32-bit OS on the SSD anyways.

Regardless of 32-bit or 64-bit Linux, the Samsung NC10 with its SSD was much faster when running through the SQLite test profile.

The more powerful Atom processor found in the Eee PC 1201N led to it outperforming the NC10 with the PostgreSQL transactional performance.
