Clang 12 and AOCC 3.1 were offering sizable leads over the venerable GCC compiler in some workloads...

While in some tests, GCC still holds it ground well against Clang and AOCC.

But increasingly, AOCC is offering a little extra "oomph" over the performance found by the upstream LLVM Clang 12 compiler.
