13-Way R600/RadeonSI GPU Comparison With Mesa 10.1 On Ubuntu 14.04

The tested graphics cards in this article included:

- Radeon HD 4890

- Radeon HD 6450
- Radeon HD 6770
- Radeon HD 6870
- Radeon HD 6950
- Radeon HD 7850
- Radeon HD 7950
- Radeon R7 260X
- Radoen R9 270X

All graphics cards were benchmarked via the Phoronix Test Suite software with OpenBenchmarking.org. The same Ubuntu 14.04 LTS stack comprised of the Linux 3.13 kernel, xf86-video-ati 7.3.0, and Mesa 10.1-rc1 was used throughout all testing from an AMD FX-8350 "Bulldozer" system.

Now let's see how these graphics cards perform on the Mesa 10.1 + Linux 3.13 configuration that's a big improvement over what's found by default in Ubuntu 13.10.
