When running the aging OpenArena game at a resolution of just 800 x 600, there isn't any real impact by the new Mesa code on the anti-aliasing performance. However, when moving to 1280 x 1024, there is a much noticeable impact. With 2x MSAA, the frame-rate goes from running at 12 FPS to now at 128 FPS with these new optimizations. Strangely, the 4x MSAA performance is rather funky going from around 30 FPS to just 8 FPS with the latest Mesa Git activity.

World of Padman at 1280 x 1024 was edging higher for 2x and 4x MSAA with this newer Mesa code to be found in the forthcoming 9.1 release.
