NVIDIA vs. AMD 2D Performance Benchmarks
Overall with GTKPerf for the GTK2 benchmark, the Radeon performance was slightly behind the GeForce numbers when using the latest proprietary drivers on Ubuntu Linux.
The AMD Hawaii 2D performance doesn't seem to be as nearly well optimized as the older GCN GPUs.
With some GTK2 micro-benchmarks, the Radeon hardware with Catalyst was noticeably faster than the GeForce GPUs on the NVIDIA binary blob.
