AMD Kaveri OpenCL Compared To Radeon & GeForce GPUs On Linux

AMD APU vs. Radeon vs. NVIDIA OpenCL Linux GPUs

Luxmark's "Room" test shows the Radeon R9 290 and other higher-end AMD GPUs having a big advantage over all of the NVIDIA GeForce GPUs. The A10-7850K OpenCL performance here was ahead of the GTX 550 Ti but just behind the Radeon HD 6770.

In the Sala test the GTX 550 Ti stepped up its game while still this sub-$200 APU had a decent showing. The Radeon R9 290 and other AMD hardware still managed a stronger showing over the NVIDIA graphics cards for this closed-source benchmark.

With the Luxball HDR test it's more of the same results with this test running better on AMD Hardware.
