With R600g on the Radeon HD 6000 series hardware, OpenArena was running at 50~60% of the Catalyst driver, this is right around where the Radeon HD 5000 series is performing relative to the blob. The Radeon HD 6000 series might even be a bit faster than the Radeon HD 5000 series relative to the speed of the proprietary driver.

The World of Padman numbers for the Radeon HD 6870 and Radeon HD 6950 were quite good at nearly 70% the speed of the Catalyst driver. Of course, this is when disabling swap buffers wait and enabling color tiling for all four graphics cards.
