With FFmpeg video encoding the Intel CPUs -- even the Core i3 4130 -- were doing better than the new AMD FX CPUs.

Lastly in some scientific applications like Dolfyn and LAMMPS, Intel processors take the cake with not letting any of AMD's processors on their current architectures compete when these tests were compiled from source and optimized for the respective CPUs.
