The first test result we saw from the Phoronix Test Suite was the EnSight result at 1920 x 1200. The FirePro V5900 came out well ahead of the previous-generation V5800 with a 41% improvement in performance. With this test, the V5900 was even faster than the FirePro V7800 by a difference of 14%.

With the PRO/Engineer run at 1920 x 1200 in SPECViewPerf 10, the spread wasn't huge between the different FirePro graphics cards, but the FirePro V5900 still came out ahead being 10% faster than its previous-generation sibling, the V5800.

When EnSight was re-run at 2560 x 1600, which was the native resolution of the 30-inch Samsung LCD used during testing, the V5900 was 24% faster than the V5800 while this time it came in right behind the FirePro V7800.
