Starting SPECViewPerf at 1920 x 1080 with the TCVIS test, we immediately see major performance gains for both the low-end and ultra high-end FirePro graphics cards. This latest driver update pumps up the V3800 numbers by approximately 25% while the FirePro V8800 shot up by 14%.

With the CATIA test found in SPECViewPerf 10.0 was one of the few areas where the newer fglrx post-8.76 driver offered no measurable benefits for either workstation component.

With EnSight we recorded gains on the FirePro V3800 of 21% and the FirePro V8800 had a massive boost of 61.5%! This +60% improvement in the SPECViewPerf 10.0 EnSight performance is astonishing and the largest we found when testing the fglrx 8.72.11 press driver. This is all when in AMD's last round of driver optimizations they had already boosted the Evergreen-based GPU's performance significantly.
