AMD Linux 2008 Year in Review

With KDE4-powered QGears2 using the X Render back-end, the performance was quite stable but unfortunately hadn't improved much over the course of 2008.

Using the OpenGL interface for QGears2 the performance had fluctuated more than the X Render tests, but still there were not any optimizations found in the Catalyst drivers. A nasty regression though was spotted with Catalyst 8.10.
