With LAME MP3 encoding, which is also single-threaded, the Ryzen 5 1400 is on the back-half. The Ryzen 5 1400 certainly has better single-threaded performance over older AMD CPUs, but was hitting around the Ivy Bridge and Haswell parts with LAME MP3.

With the OpenSSL performance, which traditionally has performed very well on AMD processors, the Ryzen 5 1400 was between a Core i5 2500K and Core i5 4670, but at least ahead of the Core i3 7100.
