The molecular dynamics tests of NAMD, GROMACS, Dolfyn, CloverLeaf, and LAMMPS led to the Ryzen 5 5600X outperforming the Core i5 10600K and performing just ahead of the Ryzen 7 3800XT.

Optical character recognition benchmarks included Tesseract and OCRMyPDF. The Ryzen 5 5600X performance at $299 USD continued to impress....

Even with Intel's own oneAPI software packages the performance continued to be ahead of the Core i5 10600K and a very nice generational upgrade. The oneAPI packages included the likes of Embree, oneDNN, Open Image Denoise, OpenVKL, and OpenVINO.

Zen 3 delivers nice gains in productivity workloads like LibreOffice, the MATLAB-inspired GNU Octave, Inkscape, GIMP, and GEGL.
