The heavily threaded crypto tests with John The Ripper also show a 68% improvement over the Core i9 7980XE, the closest current competition from Intel's product portfolio.

There's a similar hefty win with the DES test in John The Ripper.

While GraphicsMagick is multi-threaded via OpenMP, it doesn't scale as well with most imaging operations to the 64 threads available on the 2990WX, thus only minor gains. It's important to keep this in mind that your workloads do need to scale well for the Threadripper 2990WX to really show off its full potential.

The Stockfish and asmFish chess engines do scale well with today's core/thread counts and delivers breathtaking performance on the Threadripper 2990WX.
