With the OpenMP-threaded GraphicsMagick image manipulation program, the Athlon 3000G was certainly a step-up over the previous Athlon 200GE and performing in the middle of the bunch. On the Intel side in this workload the Athlon 3000G was comparable to the once more expensive Core i3 7100.

Dav1d was able to decode 1080p content with ease on this $50 CPU.

x264 encoding meanwhile was only at around 18 FPS on this CPU, not that you can realistically expect to do much video editing or encoding on a 2c/4t CPU in 2020.

In Coremark, the Athlon 3000G was beating a Core i3 Haswell CPU.

The AMD CPUs perform particularly well with Himeno.
