Amazon Linux 2 does offer a nice speed improvement for SQLite compared to Amazon Linux 2017.09 and RHEL 7.5 / Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

The IOzone performance was the same across the four tested Linux distributions.

The Go language performance tended to be the same or a little bit slower than Amazon Linux 2017.09.

The LuaJIT performance was roughly the same across the tested Linux distributions.

The FFT sub-test was one of the scenarios where Amazon Linux 2 offered a nice performance improvement.
