Linux 5.16+ for Alder Lake also made a big difference for the other video encoding tests... Ubuntu 22.04 daily with its Linux 5.15 based kernel fell well behind on the Core i9 12900K, but hopefully the Ubuntu LTS release will back-port many of the changes.
