A few weeks back we had looked at the SilverStone Temjin TJ08. This case had incorporated some of the award-winning characteristics of the TJ06 and past Temjin models into a Micro ATX design. Today we are looking at the big brother to the TJ08: the SilverStone Temjin TJ09. The SilverStone Temin TJ09 measures in at 210 x 525 x 605mm, and supports all motherboards up to and including Extended ATX / SSI. However, the TJ09 simply is not a larger version of the TJ08, but it incorporates a new mid-section air duct that completely bypasses the internal 3.5" drive bays. The chassis also has support for five 120mm case fans. From the moment we had our hands on the chassis we were in awe by its incredible design and build quality, but was this excitement able to continue once we started working with the case?

The SilverStone TJ09 had arrived at our doorstep in a very large cardboard box. Like other SilverStone cases that we have reviewed in the past, the package had advertised the various special features for the case. Opening up the huge box the SilverStone TJ09 was resting amid soft Styrofoam to protect the case from damage during shipping. A smaller cardboard box placed between blocks of Styrofoam had contained the TJ09 user's manual as well as mounting screws and other hardware. When we had taken the SilverStone TJ09 out of the package, we were completely in awe by its size and weight. The SilverStone Temjin TJ09 that we had our hands on was the TJ09B-W, which has a black exterior with a side window to show off the innards of this beast. The other models include SST-TJ09S, SST-TJ09B, and SST-TJ09S-W.
