Yesterday we had previewed the Sytrin KuFormula SHF1 Ultra and today we're the first again to offer up a preview of another Sytrin innovation. While not nearly as exciting as the SHF1, VF1, or ICS-8200, the KuFormula SFFD120 is a multi-functional cooling fan kit. This cooling fan kit is designed for use in VGA, CPU, and case cooling applications.

The Sytrin KuFormula SFFD120 arrived in a compact cardboard packaging with various graphics and information displayed on the exterior. Inside the components consisted of a 120mm fan, expansion slot bracket, power adapter, mounting scews, and expansion slot fan controller.

The features for the SFFD120 include being multi-functional by means of VGA, CPU, and case compatibility, dual ball bearing LED fan, and an E-Z set 3-speed fan controller. The 120mm fan spins at 2200RPM while at maximum speed with 35dBA of noise, but at 990RPMs it only produces 17dBA.

For VGA cooling, the KuFormula SFFD120 is designed to mount in the expansion slot area with the included bracket. With the KuFormula VF1 Plus it includes a cross-flow fan, but due to its size it generally will not fit between graphics cards when in a SLI or CrossFire configuration. The SFFD120 allows the 120mm fan to be positioned adjacent to the graphics cards so that it is able to provide airflow for the VF1 heatsinks. Alternatively, the SFFD120 can be used without the Sytrin VF1 just to provide additional airflow in the expansion slot area. The KuFormula SFFD120 can also be installed into any 120mm case fan slot or heatsink.

The Sytrin KuFormula SFFD120 is quite a simple product, but it certainly is a great accessory for the KuFormula VF1 series. At this time the SFFD120 has yet to be officially launched nor do we know the MSRP for this product. Sytrin will also be venturing into additional cooling products in the very near future, so stay tuned.
