Taking off the top lid on the SilverStone Lascala LC20M on the inside are two internal 3.5" drive cages, which in total offers room for six hard drives. These cages, as with the 5.25" cage, are removable for easy installation of the drives. We had found out from SilverStone that in the coming months will be a new revision of the LC20, which offers a new hard drive storage design. With the current LC20/LC20M, the hard drive bays may conflict with the system if using longer PCI Express graphics cards. Such graphics cards that could boast problems would be the NVIDIA GeForce 7800GTX/7900GTX and ATI Radeon X1800/X1900. The bracket in this improvised version will be based upon the design found in the LC18, but will contain a few additional improvements. In the current LC20, in each of the hard drive cages is room to mount an 80mm or 92mm fan. This graphics card issue will not be much of a problem if only three hard drives or less are used.

The wires in the chassis are all the standard header wires and more, with the exception of the USB connector and the power connection for the VFD and IR receiver. For those that do not have an available USB header on the motherboard, SilverStone had included a full size USB adapter. Powering the VFD and IR receiver is a 20/24-pin connection that interfaces with the motherboard power connection. The LC20M is compatible with standard ATX motherboards and the total dimensions of the chassis are 430 x 170 x 430 mm, and the net weight is 7kg. Optional rackmount handles are also available for this case.
